Kris Ghesquière is a Belgian-Uruguayan art dealer and interior designer. Since founding Composition Gallery in 2005 — now an international online gallery serving collectors in over ninety countries — he has worked at the intersection of two disciplines that rarely meet: the trading of museum-grade contemporary art, and the slow, hands-on craft of restoring buildings and shaping interiors.
He works between Tbilisi, Uruguay, and China — with ongoing ties to the latter and regular travel and work there — restoring old structures, building new ones in remote landscapes, and treating each project as an extended conversation between architecture, place, and the works of art that will eventually inhabit it.
